...I hope I'm not being weird when I say this, but... you're a pretty special trainer, Green. I don't think I've ever seen one be so nice to a Pokemon that isn't his.

I know that you miss Aiden. I'm not good enough to be any kind of surrogate, but I think if I had a Charmander, I'd want him to be a lot like you!

Nobody else can be Aiden... but I think I'm pretty lucky there's a Green in my life anyway. I talk to him about you sometimes. I think maybe he's a little jealous!

...Did you ever think about picking Charmander? I'm glad you picked Squirt because he sounds like a good Pokemon, but...

Aw, he has nothing to be jealous of. I'm just happy there's a Kerosene in my life.

The thought did cross my mind, really. I had a really hard time picking... I ended up picking Squirt because of this whole thing with Red...

Of course I'm happy I did! Squirt is really great! If I knew anything about fire types I would probably be of more use to you, though.

Your starter's the most important Pokemon you've got, so it's probably a good thing you picked who you did, anyway. It's still a little funny, though. If you were a few years older or I was a few years younger, then I could've been yours just as easily as Aiden's.

It's fine if you don't know a lot about fire types. Sometimes I think there's still a lot I don't get about humans!
